Best Bets For Week 13 of College Football

What’s up football fans? It’s time for another week of college football picks. The season is wrapping up and we have some picks that are sure to keep the momentum going. Big matchups, big-time weather games and big-time locks. Let's go!

  1. Texas vs Kentucky (+20)

Make no mistake about it, Texas is firmly in the driver's seat to win this game. We’ve said it all year, Texas is probably the best team in the country and the odds-on favorite to win the whole thing this year. But when you look at their track record, they generally let teams hang around that shouldn't even though the Longhorns always win at the end of the day. Kentucky is coming off of a tune-up game beating Murray State by a wide margin. They should come into this game riding high and even though winning outright seems far-fetched, covering the spread seems very doable. If this line runs past 21 leading up to the game, hammer it.

Best Bet: Kentucky +20

  1. BYU (+3) vs. Arizona State

I like one of these teams and love the other. BYU dealt us our first loss betting on the Mormons this year but previously we rode a 4-0 streak. Last week was a trap game in my opinion against Kansas and I like BYU to rebound here against an ASU team that is good don't get me wrong. BYU simply has a lot more riding on this game and getting points is never a smart move with this squad.

Best Bet: BYU +3

  1. Colorado (-3) vs. Kansas

Don’t believe the hype after Kansas beat BYU last weekend. They are a paper tiger disguised as a decent team. Colorado, on the other hand, has backed up every bit of the hype and then some. Think what you want about Coach Prime and the cast of players he has, they are every bit a playoff contender. I think there's a lot of recency bias in this line with a ton of value to hammer Colorado here.

Best Bet: Colorado -3

  1. ECU (+3) vs North Texas

This is a game I'll speak on with a ton of confidence behind this pick. After taking a pick in last week’s matchup and watching the entire game between UNT and UTSA, I can say confidently this is not an even matchup. ECU has rebounded since firing the worst coach in D1 (RIP Mike Houston) and they come into this game hot on a 3-game win streak. Both teams will score a lot of points and in a hurry but I lean towards ECU having the better defense in this matchup. Gimme the Pirates to cover the spread and win outright in my opinion.

Best Bet: ECU +3

  1. Army (+14) vs. Notre Dame

After getting absolutely demolished in the Navy/Notre Dame game, we're back for service academy revenge. Even though I was dead wrong in that first game, I have the same strong feeling in my gut that Army is gonna hang with Notre Dame. Navy lost because of early turnovers and after going down by multiple scores early, it just wasn't in the cards for that type of offense to engineer a comeback. Army will be in a similar position but I view them as a better team overall that hopefully won't fall into the same pitfalls Navy did. I think Army keeps this game close with an outside chance of pulling the upset here.

Best Bet: Army +14

  1. Texas A&M (-2.5) vs. Auburn

Essentially a pick-em game with the 2.5 spread, I’ll be honest this line seems too good to be true. Don’t get it twisted, Auburn is a BAD team. A very, very bad team. Honestly in consideration for the worst team in the SEC. Texas A&M theoretically still has a path to the playoffs by winning out and getting some help from around the SEC. Don’t overthink this one, the Aggies are gonna go to the Plains and absolutely demolish these paper Tigers.

Best Bet: Texas A&M -2.5
